Botox
Botox® is primarily used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. It is a purified form of the botulinum toxin, but is a safe, FDA approved treatment for the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. By blocking the nerve signals, muscles in the injection site become temporarily paralyzed, thus softening or eliminating wrinkles from the area.
How long does Botox® last?
Botox® typically last three to four months with results being seen as soon as three to seven days following treatment. Side effects following treatment with Botox® include headache, bruising, and injection site pain.
